Pulse Check
Posted Monday, August 25, 2003 by DarkFyre

Just keeping in touch with the public with a little progress reporting. Map29 is in fact not up to par with my current standards, so I'm still putting finishes on it, which leaves very little to do thankfully. The only problem is that the level is so detailed, it bugs. Damn, I thought this visplane-ish BS was over with. Hopefully me 'n Fusion can find and fix this glitch and get this map over with, but if any of you got any suggestions, lemme know in the forums!

Secondly, Fusion's current level is looking great, and sounds even better. With the great ideas we've come up with for it, and the insane building he's been doing, it's very promising.

Thirdly, with Ismaele cancelling his Outpost project, we can hopefully see some more work by him... or he shall toil in our underground sugar caverns. ;)

And Lastly, Vorpal's overhaul of map08 is lookin' great, and the way he's going through it, it should be finished in an impressive amount of time.

Screenshots will hopefully be up soon all, so hang in there.

Progress continues to... progress! Lately a lot of new material has been filtering into the current version of Hellcore. The best news as of late, is that Joe Pallai, Nigel Rowand, and Qingshuo Wang have joined up with the team. Joe has worked on 2002 A Doom Odyssey, and Plutonia 2 among other things. Qingshuo Wang is better known as Pixel Rex, some of his stuff includes Jagged Edges, Gothic99, and Slaughter DM. Nigel Rowand (Enjay) is also going to help us out in the knitty gritty DeHacked stuff.

Esa, as always, continues to please us with texture requests, Devon is done with map29 (you won't believe it) and has begun reworking one of his old cityscapes, Joe has started on revamping map06, I am somewhere near 50% done with map08's reconstruction, and Rob is working on a haunted mansion level, as well as completely redoing the screenshot section.
